Attachment Mod
(For the Attachment Mod to PunBB 1.2)
The Attachment Mod allows the users to upload and download attachments (files) to the posts. My aim with this mod has been to interfer as little as possible with PunBB’s code, and not add too many features. The mod was rewritten from scratch to PunBB 1.2, so in the future it’ll hopefully be a bit easier to upgrade it. And so far only a few bugs has surfaced, and still it has quite a few downloads. So hopefully it’s quite safe aswell, if you follow the advice about where to place the folder where all the files will be stored. (If the files are stored in a place where the browsers will have access, it’s a possibility to bruteforce to find files)
Either way, I’ll write more information here later, including a guide to search for installation errors (as that’s the most usual thing I need to help with, especially when the users haven’t read Chapter 1.6 in the documentation and set the maximum size for attachments, (each server has it’s own settings, thus I force people to figure out this value with the default 2000 bytes as limit on files)
